There are 3 Major Causes of Unexplained Infertility:
That’s why when the infertile patients come to us with unexplained infertility, we carefully evaluate all cases of unexplained infertility and look again for the causes and in our opinion there can be the following causes:
Tubal Disease– In case of tubal diseases, high percentage of misdiagnosis is because of interpretation and limitation of Hysterosalpingography. We at Nandanee IVF look at the tube not only for obstruction but from the point of the functionality of the tube which could be compromised due to any disease. Our Endeavour is to find the disease associated with the tube.
POA (Premature Ovarian aging/failure) – The Ovarian age is a very important factor in unexplained infertility. When women are born, they have approximately 300,000 follicles and in every decade this number decline by half. In terms of decline in the follicular number, female fertility declines until the age of 37 years, when around 25,000 follicles only left. Sometimes there can be the premature decline in the number of eggs. This can be due to several reasons such as family history, radiation damage, any previous adenexal or ovarian surgery, chemotherapy or any other such reason.
Immunological Infertility– Some people have argued that there can be immunological reasons behind unexplained infertility but this is not fully established. We do not agree with this explanation. We have carried out a lot of research by giving immune suppressants during the IVF cycle without any effect. No clinic has demonstrated positive results in clinic based trials.
Other Causes of unexplained infertility can be Endometriosis, Aging, and/or morbidity effects of infections like tuberculosis.
